Delivering trust and sustainability to materials and resources.

Blockcycle helps businesses to be sustainable, transparent, trusted and verified by data. For the first time, businesses are able to track and trace what was used in their supply chain, how much, where it was sourced and where it ends up, including waste that is reintroduced into the supply chain as recycled feedstock.

Blockcycle builds brand loyalty by communicating your commitment to transparency, society and the environment to your suppliers, clients and consumers.

    Blockcycle Q&A

    How does Blockcycle work?

In a nutshell, blockchains — or "mutual distributed ledgers," as they are sometimes called — are simply self-governing, tamper-free, online databases that nobody owns, yet everybody can trust. We are able to track individual materials and resources "data-tag" with information such as manufacturer, company that used it last, materials used, recycling information, location, volume and other metadata. This is "checked-in" and "checked-out" using distributed ledger (blockchain) solution

What stage is the Blockcycle at?

We are in pilot phase with major companies in the supply chain and retail spaces. If you like to be part of this, contact us

    Who is Blockcycle?

Blockcycle is a Coca-Cola backed Blockchain startup incubated by Red Garage Ventures in Sydney, Australia

Can you give a practical example of how Blockcycle works?

Take beverage as an example. Let’s say Coca-Cola wants to sell a plastic made from 100% food safe recycled materials. For it to guarantee the product contains food safe recycled material, the company needs to follow the recycled material, all the way from virgin plastic through bottle manufacturing to bottling, in a retail store, to the consumer and back to the recycling plant.

Right now the industry does this through certification and labelling. But what if some of the plastics are mixed? How do you certify that recycled pellets are indeed recycled and of food grade quality.

At Blockcycle, we believe that distributed ledger technology (blockchain) is the perfect solution for validating materials and resources such as this.

Because blockchain records transactions openly and permanently to its de-centralised ledger that can be made available to anyone who wants to view it, the whole tracking process is opened up to scrutiny while at the same time preventing any monopolistic third party from controlling the system.

We believe that this kind of trust, transparency and validation is key to doing business today and in the future. It builds brand loyalty from clients, suppliers and consumers as it enables them to know with certainty where their products came from, what the products contain and where the products may end up.
